“ Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop – Ansel Adams
I have something to say about a recent Lightroom 3 purchase and how I feel I have been kind of fooled…
So, dear Adobe… I have recently bought Lightroom 3 from Amazon.uk for about 120 euros. Wow, I thought: This is a great offer, and based on what I knew was its typical price here in Italy (300 euros – about $394, more or less), I decided I would spend my hard earned money on it. Even more, for a limited time only, on the Italian Adobe store it was being sold with a 50% discount, that is, 150 euros.
Then, a few days later, Lightroom 4 came out. I thought it would have cost at least if not more than version 3. Imagine my surprise when I saw it was being sold on the Italian Adobe store for 130,89 euros! Now, I really feel like I’ve been deceived. Furthermore, if I want to upgrade I’ll have to pay another 75 euros + 8 euros for shipping!
That’s unfair, dear Adobe.
End of rant.
I have had similar experience with Adobe and Apple, and I feel just the same as you about it!
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, one feels really bad… I’m thinking of emailing Adobe, just to let them know my thoughts…
